Father's Day 2011

Father's Day this year just happened to be the day after our Murder Mystery party.  Most people would let that fall by the wayside in favor of resting and relaxing after such a party . . . but not me, and certainly not Cassidy!

She greeted her dad with a card she picked out just for him:

And then we moved to presents!

I don't know why she was such a sad-face...
 

But gifts made it all better!



From Daycare, Cassy made a beautiful feet sculpture that just says "I Love You" with lots of glittery gold paint.  And from Cassy and me, Eric was presented with his first ever (because I'm sure there will be more to come!) "World's Greatest Dad!" Mug -- on which I created a photo collage of all of my favorite photos of just Cassy and Eric together.  I thought this would be ideal since we had just gotten him a Keurig for his birthday (and so he would stop taking MY starbucks mug for his stinky coffee!) :-)

After presents we just goofed around a bit.  Cassy has some pretty big shoes to fill:



Now, if she can just master tying the shoes . . .

So, so sweet.

Later that day we had lunch with Mark, Amanda, and Michelle at Don Pablos, and then just spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing (ie, napping!).
