2011 Murder Mystery Party -- The Masquerade

Our annual murder mystery party took place on June 18, 2011.  This year's theme was Murder at the Masquerade. 

The Synopsis:  Host Miss White invites all of her friends to a 'By Invitation Only' unveiling of a precious gems collection -- arguably the most priceless collection in the world.  There is a failed heist attempt, leaving two murdered and the rest of us wondering 'whodunnit?'

The Cast of Characters:

Miss White -- Played by Carly N. -- The wealthy host who loves two things:  Diamonds and Parties. 

Mr. Black -- Played by Mark P. -- The leader of a gang of thieves; ends up being the first murdered.

Yellow Belly -- Played by Eric N. -- Mr. Black's nephew, a coward who turns tail and runs at the first sign of danger or confrontation.

Green Eyes -- Played by Courtney S. -- The tech girl and operative of the jewel heist in Mr. Black's gang.

Big Boy Blue -- Played by Matt S. -- Mr. Black's #1 Security who is undoubtedly dedicated to his job.

Pink Lady -- Played by Amanda S. -- The sweetheart of the gang; makes friends easily (but usually to get gossip and other info!)

Don Tell -- Played by Mark P (secondary character after the murder of Mr. Black) -- The detective called in to figure things out.

Tips MacElroy -- Played by Jeremy B. -- The news reporter hired to cover this elite event

Lady BotenBoten -- Played by Christa B. -- An heiress reknowned for her knowledge of priceless gems.
Oro Fitzpatrick -- Played by Jeremy N. -- A wealthy tycoon on the up and up

Mitzy Fitzpatrick -- Played by A. N. -- Oro's wife, and the brains behind their successful empire.

Daphne Gulliver -- Played by Nada E. -- A world famous traveller with knowledge of the caves where the gem collection was mined.
Ruby Rocks -- Played by Carly G. -- Mr. Black's mistress who is in love with his brother, Kingston.

Kingston Hearts -- Played by Travis G. -- Mr. Black's fun loving gambling brother who otherwise leads a very clean lifestyle.

Sybille LeVeigne -- Played by Cary S. -- The starlet and socialite who makes an appearance at every noteworthy event.

Blue Steal -- Played by Mike T. -- Mr. Black's newest security who wants to be second to no one

Lavendar Love -- Played by Katherine B. -- Gossip queen and information exchanger

Madame Butterfly -- Played by Michelle Klaus -- A fortune teller hired for entertainment, but might just know more than you think.

Whew, I think that's everyone!  If I'm missing someone it's because I'm writing by memory, not actually lookign at the playbooks -- so let me know if your character is missing!

The night was a big success in that everyone seemed to have a great time.  Plus, I personally think the house looked spectacular.  We definitely put more effort into decorating this time around, to make the evening a truly unique experience.  Unfortunately it seems that the game play was a little out of order and some clues might possibly have been missing.  As such it made it nearly impossible to actually figure out what happened.  BUT --

Mr. Black was killed by his nephew Yellow Belly, who was recently cut out of Mr. Black's will.  Green Eyes sees this happen, and decides she can steal the diamonds and pin it on Yellow Belly -- but things go awry and Yellow Belly ends up dead as well!  This was our first murder mystery party where two murders occur.  Crazy, good times :-)
